This workshop explores the possibilities inherent in true freeform improvisation. What if every single movement, line, or moment could be used to inspire the next scene? What if the improvisers allowed themselves to be influenced by the space around them and their relationship to it? What if we allowed ourselves to be abstract or surreal in our scene work? Through scenic exercises, we will review the ideas of listening to what the show wants, fluid scene editing, and creating a vocabulary among the performers. The goal is to be able to improvise a unique free-form experience every time you hit the stage. Improv is a laboratory, so let’s experiment!
