About The Event
This week we welcome back author and educator Clay Drinko, PhD to Acting Lab for a lively Q&A about improvisation, stress management, happiness, and his upcoming book (available this January from Simon and Schuster) "Play Your Way Sane." Improvisation is one of the cornerstones of actor training, and we will look at ways this essential skill can improve your acting work and your life.
Our acting laboratory provides advanced and aspiring actors with a space to try new techniques, deepen their craft, and build community. No preparation or memorization is necessary. Not sure if this is for you? Observers are always welcome!
About Our Guest: Clay earned his Ph.D. in drama and theatre studies and has two Master’s degrees and for the past decade has researched improvisation and its applications, but that doesn’t stop him from talking smack about the Kardashians and telling super embarrassing personal anecdotes. He's a regular contributor for Psychology Today and Lifehack. Clay’s an accommodating, cornfed Midwesterner who now lives in the beautiful Hudson Valley with his husband Haris and their daughter Ella. Learn more about his work - including his upcoming book (!!!) at PlayYourWaySane.com
